So I hope the Jack Russel was OK Simone! They are so cute, and kind of small, so I was thinking this was the dog for me! Until I picked up a dog book and read about their personalities! Yikes! I don't think I have the time or patience for that hyper of a dog right now. And until I finish my 5 years of allergy shots, have no idea if I am still allergic to dogs!

Yes, well the dog was okay, but since he nearly caused an accident I didn't like him that much.
I'd go for a larger dog, somehow they seem more relaxed and intelligent and therefore are more of a buddy in my opninion than those little nasty bitches. And I think the type of fur of a dog (smooth or not) might make a difference for allergic persons, although I once heard that smooth haired dogs apparently lose more hair than 'bristly haired' dogs... But I think it's a good thing you did a bit of orientation, as so many dogs are bought as a fashion item (chiwawa, dalmatian) and are later being discarded because their personalities are somewhat different to those of a handbag..

Goed nieuws, Moontje ! De hondjes blijken inmiddels gered en worden goed verzorgd.....(vernam ik uit betrouwbare (?) bron). Zag wel nog even een Engels spelfoutje in je random spinsel. The quiter you become......enz. Dat moet natuurlijk "quieter" zijn......maar ach, humane erare est, nietwaar?
Ik zal me solidair tonen en morgen de Bloggers Day of Silence steunen........dat geld toch alleen voor het geschreven woord, niet? Anders houd ik het niet vol hoor. Trouwens, heb een nieuwe baan in een (voor jou en mij) zeer bekende branche. Ja. If only you could do something. Ik zou zo het vliegtuig nemen. Tis ergens maar goed dat we geen weet hebben van al het andere dierlijk leed dat zich daar heeft voorgedaan.
En dank u alwetende. Alleen qua designinspiratie al supermooi. Die gaan op de lijstjes 'to do' en 'not to do' van Sabien. Wilde ook naar 'je' Black Swan gaan maar ga nu eerst naar Gooische V. Beetje ongeremde vrolijkheid . En in dat kader 'moet' je eens naar Dr. Ellen Goedkoop kijken als je niet al gedaan hebt, vind haar echt heel grappig; neurotisch bekakt wijf, echt top gespeeld.

Funny you should mention that, this morning a student e-mailed me that while she was studying last night, the falcon came back to the nest and ate a mouse, swallowed it whole right in front of her!
No extra credit for seeing the falcon eat breakfast!

Haha Well Today several students told me how much they enjoyed watching the falcon, and they did see the egg too, YAAA! They were probably watching it all night rather than studying for my class!
My daughter sent me a link for the falcon cam near to where she works in Evanston, IL. The cam is a new one and the birds haven't really landed yet, but they have been spotted in the area. Anyway, they have names, and so I thought it would be your job to name the Dutch falcons, that way you would hang on to your instant viral fame!
I am hoping to get some blue birds around the house, and bought a flat feed tray today. I have had them up at the cabin, and it would be nice to see if I can attract some here too. It would be cool to take some pictures of them! http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/eastern_bluebird/id
The video played wonderfully, but alas, I couldn't understand hardly a word! Excellent photography though, and I noticed your chickadees and king fishers are more brightly colored than ours!

You will never guess what happened in class today! I put the Falcon Cam on my laptop before class started, and right before I started, the bird came and was squaking quite loudly, and all the students rushed up to my desk to see what was going on! Now they all wanted the link, so what could I say?? So tonight I puit the link on their internet site so they could all show their friends, parents, etc! Never thought so many people were into birds like that, and now you are famous in the US! Haha (I didn't reveal who gave it to me)

. Rats! Nice for the birdies, maybe this is the first year they have so many visitors from abroad, I guess it will soon become a viral then over there in the US .
I noticed the peregrines laid their first egg today.
As a coincidence I'm just watching the 'vroege vogels' ('early birds') television programme at this moment which today is about the webcams. Haha I'm sure that's funny to an Apple person, the college is really behind! For example, the laptop in the classroom we use for our power points has a whole 512 of RAM, takes it over 5 minutes to boot up! Sad huh?
YES, I'm hoping to work on Dutch! I don't remember any of the swear words my Grandmother used to exclaim at us, Haha! She only spoke Dutch when she didn't want my brother and I to know what she was saying!! Take Care Simone!

Simone, Haha Bing translate makes it pretty easy! I am not *that* good! I asked for Rosetta Stone on my desktop computer at work, and they will get around to it in a few days. They are first putting Windows 7 and Office 2010 on, and believe it or not, I will be the first faculty member to get that! The college IT department is soooo bad and way behind the world!
Snowing agian here, I don't think Spring exists yet! I'm seeing lots of Flickr pictures with flowers (so jealous) so it must be nice there! Take Care, Dale

Simone, Cool video of a Dutch town! Looked like a huge train station that was torn down in the 40s, is that right? Love the street scenes of Europe, the sidewalk cafes, the bridges and canals of Holland!
On another note, the falcons were both on the cam today again, and making a lot of noise!

Simone, watched the Peregrine Cam while eating lunch today, but didn't see anything happen. "Then, when I switched to another web page I heard a squak, and thought "What was that?" thinking it was bird outside my office window! Nothing there, then I remembered I had the Cam on yet, so switched as quick as my fingers could fly, and missed whatever was there! Rats! Maybe tomorrow I will not have music on in the office and just listen for more squaks! "Have a great rest of the week! Did you do anyhting go anywhere for Carnival?

There indeed isn't that much activity going on yet, as the birdies have to install themselves, so if you're ready for some action during your lunch break you could click on one of the links beneath 'Iets gemist? Kijk hier:' which means 'missed something? Check here:'. There they have some clips lined up for you so you don't have to wait and wait and wait to spot a peregrine . And also you can put the squaks on repeat mode haha. You can also switch between the camera's point of view (by clicking cam 1, cam 2, etc.). Carnival was very lively for me indeed as I live close to the city center. Now everything is back to normal though .

Ach sjezus....krijg ik zo'n gebronste, afgetrainde blonde schone over de vloer, zit ik daar met m'n papperige harses! En dan ook nog met verwachtingsvolle ogen (boven het dessert uit) mij blijven aankijken? Dan kom je er gauw genoeg achter hoe ik met vrouwen ben, hahahaha (maar volgens mij heb je daar best iets van meegekregen, al is het maar van een afstandje?) Misschien moet ik Marcia dan maar even een avondje uit logeren doen? Natuurlijk enkel en alléén om jaloezie-gevoelens en verlegenheid van jouw kant te beperken....begrijp je wel?
En wat dat dessert betreft...I'm a fool for sweet-loving! 
Ik hoop alleen dat ik jouw verwachtingen waar kan maken m.b.t. mijn kookkunsten, mijn presentatie (for starters) haalt het bijvoorbeeld al bij lange na niet bij jouw niveau, hoor! (en mijn kookkunsten ook niet, maar ik doe m'n stinkende best en stop er heel veel liefde in!) En wat die concurrentie betreft, Moontje, er zijn veel smaken ijs op deze wereld, maar voor slechts een paar mag je me wakker maken.....

Lol, dat zijn weer een aantal humor punten voor jou gescoord
. Was wel een inkoppertje achteraf gezien dat ik dan kan zien hoe je met vrouwen bent maar moest er toch erg om lachen. En laat Marcia er gewoon bij zijn, kunnen vast veel taartervaringen uitwisselen . Indisch koken is ook nog een optie ? I'll follow you closely met mijn camera om alles op te slaan, wie weet ben je ook heel leuk als tv kok ! En dat ijs ja, welke smaak was dat ook alweer.... zou ik even scrollie scrollie terug moeten bladeren op je weblog maar ik weet dat het van de firma B&J was. En niet meer te verkrijgen. Lijkt me dus een meesterzet als ik met een bak daarvan aan zou komen zetten ? Leuke tegenhanger ook voor de dagen die je zelf in de keuken hebt gestaan voor de rest van het diner
